The assembly man for Adaase electoral area Hon. Stephen Ahianyor explained to Listowel Aboagye Dacosta of Wassaman Fm that, there were a total number of three persons on an Okada motto bike including the Okada rider which was heavily loaded with boards (woods) at the same time from Wassa Ateiku to Wassa Adaase. Just after a few minutes ride, they met another car also coming from Wassa Adaase to Wassa Ateiku.

The 3 persons are all residents of Wassa Adaase in the Wassa East district of western region.

The assembly man for Adaase electoral area Hon. Stephen Ahianyor explained to Listowel Aboagye Dacosta of Wassaman Fm that, there were a total number of three persons on an Okada motto bike including the Okada rider which was heavily loaded with boards (woods) at the same time from Wassa Ateiku to Wassa Adaase. Just after a few minutes ride, they met another car also coming from Wassa Adaase to Wassa Ateiku.

Because the Okada rider was on a top speed and also heavily loaded, he suddenly lost steering control and subsequently collided with the oncoming vehicle.

All the three people on the Okada motto bike instantly went into comatose who were quickly rushed to Ateiku Christian hospital. The Okada rider and one other passenger were pronounced dead on arrival while the remaining one person sustained very serious degrees of injuries. He is currently receiving medical treatment at the emergency ward of Ateiku Christian hospital.

The deceased are Esi Ayida 36 and the Okada rider is Kwaku Dan 19 years. The survival injured person is also called Yaw Adekah 32 years.

Hon. Stephen Ahianyor disclosed that the mortal remains of the two have been deposited at Ateiku Christian mortuary for preservation while police are also investigating the cause of the accident.

Hon. Stephen Ahianyor also advised and cautioned Okada riders on excessive speed and the wearing of the helmet.
