The DCE for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa, Hon. Lawrence Edutuah-Asiaw yesterday embarked on a tour in three different towns within the district to cut sod for the commencement of various projects.
The tour began at Breman Brakwa where he cut sod for the reconstruction of a dilapidated bridge at the Ankobea electoral area close to the Methodist Basic School.
It was followed by a similar project in Breman Asikuma where a bridge which was constructed by president Kuffuor at Teacher Abekah will also see an extension of retaining walls to make it motorable to farmers.
Both bridge projects are expected to be completed by the close of this year.
The next sod was cut for the extension of electricity to Edumanu CHPS Compound build by the NPP government.
Speaking at the various programs, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Lawrence Edutuah-Asiaw demanded that local artisans must by the primary source of labour. He however advised the various communities to conduct themselves professionally when the are employed by the contractor.
