TWINS DROWNED IN ABANDONED GALAMSEY PIT AT TWIFO MORKWA
Two and half year old children, a male and a female who are twins have been reported dead at Twifo Morkwaa in the Twifo Atti-morkwa district of central region.
The unfortunate incident occurred when the mother of the children was asleep when she was sick as the unguided ignorant children were also playing around the compound of the house.

After a while of sleeping, the mother woke up while her children were nowhere to be found. She begun to search for the children from all corridors of the house but to no avail until she extended the search to an uncovered abandoned galamsey pit filled with water at the backyard of the house where she sadly found her twins completely dead in the pit.
The Twifo Atti-morkwa district police command have currently retrieved the bodies while investigations have commenced.

A concerned resident of Twifo Morkwa who is disgusted about the countless uncovered galamsey pits in the area which have resulted in the deaths of at least 8 to 10 people within this year also expressed his displeasure.
