SUSPECTED EARTHQUAKE OCCURS AT TWIFO MAMPONG IN THE TWIFO ATTI-MORKWA DISTRICT
The residents particularly cocoa farmers at Twifo Mampong in the Twifo Atti-morkwa district of central region have experienced the shock of their lives on their cocoa farms which they believe to be an earthquake.
According to the cocoa farmers, they went to their farms today after a torrential rainfall yesterday where they surprisingly realized heavy deep cracks on their farm lands.
They added that, the occurrence has swept some of the cocoa trees away while some of the cocoa trees have also completely sunk in the cracking holes.
The incident happened in about ten different cocoa farms at Twifo Mampong which has put the cocoa farmers and the entire residents of Twifo Mampong in a panicking condition.
Listowel Aboagye Dacosta of Wassaman Fm spoke with some of the cocoa farmers who experienced this traumatic situation on their cocoa farms.
