ACCIDENT AT GOMOA OKYEREKO CLAIMS 15 LIVES.
Around 5: 17 am, the Winneba Fire Station received a distress call reporting an accident at GOMOA Okyereko.
The accident involved a Youtong bus with registration number GT 5866-L and a Fuel Tanker number WR 2063-10.
The cause of the accident is not readily known, but the rescue team from GNFS is at the scene now trying to rescue the mate of the tanker trapped in the vehicle.
The Ghana Ambulance Service and the Police Service are with GNFS at the scene.
The total number of deaths has risen to 16 after the mate was confirmed dead after rescue by fire service.
The road is now opened to traffic as personnel of GNFS are on standby to prevent fire outbreak or explosion.
Both drivers are alive at Trauma and Specialist Hospital Winneba
