Two siblings (boy and a girl) Andy Dogbe six years old and his younger sister Daniella Dogbe three and half years old have been reportedly burnt to ashes at Wassa Amponsaso in the Wassa East district of western region.

The sad incident happened yesterday evening between the hours of 8pm and 9pm when the two were asleep while their mother was also taking her bath.

An eyewitness to the painful incident Mr. Omega Alex explained to peace News that, it was light out around the aforementioned time when the children were in the room asleep while the other inhabitants of the house were also having a social conversation at the premises of the house.

They suddenly heard an explosive sound ‘bumm’! from the particularly room where the children were asleep followed by fire.

They made all efforts to rescue the children but all to no avail.

The father of the children Mr. Stephen Mawule Dogbe also explained that, he had traveled to Cape Coast when he got a distress call that fire has gutted his residence at Wassa Amponsaso as a result of that his two children have been burnt to death.

Madam Edina Dogbe is the mother of the children who was in uncomfortable tears also shared with peace News her sorrow.

The bodies have been deposited at Twifo Praso government mortuary by the Wassa Atobiase police while investigations are ongoing.
