GRNMA PRESENTS A HEALTH FUND SUPPORT WITH A SUM OF GHC 50,000.00 TO A MEMBER IN WA MUNICIPALITY, UPPER WEST REGION.

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association (GRNMA) continuous to offer financial support to members in critical health needs.

On the 6th of February, 2024, Mr. Samuel Banyeh, a former first vice chairman of Upper West region (GRNMA) made presentation of GHC50,000 to Madam Madina Osman, a staff of Dobile health center within Wa Municipality.

The presentation was made on behalf of the President, Madam Perpetual Offori Ampofo, the Upper West Regional Chairman, Mr. Lawrence Bagrmwin and the Wa Municipal executives.

The GRNMA would like to remind the representatives of the employer their responsibility in times of I’ll health of the employee as contained in the collective Bargaining Agreement signed between the association and the employer which stressed on the need to screen all nurses and midwives at least once in a year and also to pay fifty percent ( 50%) of treatments for conditions outside the remit of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)

The Union support the member part of the 50% and so the employers were expected to add their part , since the health staff is the common interest

Madam Madina Osman extended her heartfelt gratitude to Madam President, Mrs Perpetual Ofori Ampofo, the Upper West Regional Executives and the Wa Municipal executives for the calm financial support, emphasizing the monumental relief the support was going to give her.

She encouraged all Nurses and Midwives to stay united behind the leadership of the association at all levels in line with the group’s motto ‘’Unity is strength!!’’
