Dr. Benjamin Aboagye Dacosta is the central regional branch president of Ghana Science Association has appealed to teachers particularly science teachers to move from the traditional method of teaching to 21st century skills of teaching.

He elaborated that the 21st century skills of teaching equips teachers with demonstration and practical skills to arouse the interest of the learners to fully participate in the teaching and learning process which promote better understanding of the lesson.

He also applauded the government for the introduction of the STEM education and urged Ghanaians to embrace it.

Dr. Benjamin Aboagye Dacosta made this statement when the central regional branch of Ghana Science Association organized a workshop for all the science teachers in the Twifo Atti-morkwa district of central region to sharpen their teaching skills in science.

Dr. Benjamin Aboagye Dacosta also lamented that although the STEM education is a good system but lack of teachers, lack of teaching and learning resources and infrastructures are the major challenges that are hindering the progress of the STEM education in Ghana.
