Drama At Bibiani-Anhwiaso Bekwai Adobewura Electoral Area As Assembly Member Assaulted and Detained. Calls for IGP Intervention.
Drama at Bibiani-Anhwiaso Bekwai Adobewura Electoral Area as Assemblyman was rather assaulted and was rather detained by the District Police Command which led to alot of controversies in the community. They blame the Police.
In view of this the community has lost trust in police command which has lead to alot athrocities in the area.
According them someone can assault you and go scot free and if he or she go to the police and report the police will rather tell the victim to go and arrest the accused person and come.
“All we appeal for is IGP Interventions to bring sanity to the police command in Bibiani-Anhwiaso Bekwai” they caution.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the assembly member for Adobewura electoral area in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai constituency of the western north region, Hon. Bismark Offin has been assaulted by care International CCT Chair and him rather was invited to the station little did he know was that it was a setup to detained.
He was later granted self recognisance bail with undisclosed amount.
After he has however been bailed before the accuse person was invited and he was ask to call someone to bail him without any arrest.
According to him, the man in question stole items belonging to the organisation which were meant to train some people.
In addition, he said he called the executives of Care International from Bibiani to sit on the matter, which the man accepted he stole the items.
He was ripped off his position as the chairman and also charged to pay a fine of five hundred Ghana cedis.
Whilst deliberating on the matter, the said man got angry and threatened to throw off the items stored in the room. Upon his intervention to stop him from doing it resorted to his severe beatings.
“I’m calling on the police to deal with him the Care International CCT Chair for assaulting me. In fact, I need justice in this case,” he emphasised.
“I suspect foul play because after reporting the case to the police, I don’t see anything positive again, however I am calling on the IGP and other stakeholders to intervene to ensure the man in question is brought to book,” the assembly member added.
