The Gender Committee of the Eastern Region with the assistance from the ER GRNMA put together a seminar on the theme: ” Empowering Women in Ghana to take Control of their lives through Vaccination against Cervical Cancer”.
The program was held on the 19th May 2023 at the Comfort Asiamah Conference Hall in Koforidua.
The program saw the presence of Dignitaries such as Mrs. Irene Mensah Jacobs who is the National Coordinator for W&G committee and doubles as the GRNMA National Deputy Treasurer, Mrs. Harriet Awini, Middle Zone W&G Coordinator, Ms. Mariam E. Manson an Oncology Nurse at the Eastern Regional Hospital also gracing the occasion.
The Eastern Regional Chairman Rev. Hayford Laryea was the Chairman for the occasion.
There was massive attendance of members of the Association from far and near in the region.
Mrs Irene Jacobs gave a super presentation on Women Empowerment. Ms.Manson gave a detailed presentation on Cervical Cancer and Mrs Harriet Awini also followed it up with a presentation on “BURN OUTS”.
Participants were thrilled with the presentations and the discussion that followed.
Everyone felt empowered with the information shared during the seminar.
