MTN GHANA SUPPORTS ABOAKYIR FESTIVAL CELEBRATION WITH GHC 15,000.

MTN Ghana on 4th May, 2023 donated GHC 15,000 cash , airtime worth Ghc 1000 and souvenirs to Effutu Traditional Area in the celebration of Aboakyir Festival.

According to the Regional Senior Manager for the South-West Business District, Mr. Prince Owusu Nyarkoh , the gesture is in support of the Aboakyir festival as the year’s festival theme is ” Your Participation makes difference for development” and MTN believe strongly in the power of community development.

He said , the MTN Ghana is dedicated to supporting initiatives that uplift communities and make a positive impact on people’s lives, and the Aboakyir festival is an incredible opportunity to bring the community together and celebrate our shared heritage culture.

“Our support goes beyond just financial contributions, we believe in investing in the people in our communities that’s why MTN Ghana Foundation, provides funding for various types of community development projects ” he disclosed.

Mr. Owusu Nyarkoh in an interview with Kingdom news reporter Anaafi Kokooto, then mentioned an ICT learning centre at the University of Cape Coast, Blood Bank at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Girls Dormitory Block at Apam Senior High school, scholarships to brilliant but needy students to enable them pursue their education in the University of Cape Coast and University of Education Winneba among others as some of the Community development projects which provides funding focusing on education, health and economic empowerment to our various communities.

Meanwhile, the Omanhen of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey Vll on behalf of the chiefs, elders and the Aboakyir Planning Committee expressed sincere gratitude for the kind gesture and promised to keep in touch with the Telecommunication giant (MTN) for more development projects.
