RESIDENTS CLASH WITH ARMED THIEVES TO INTERCEPT “STOLEN” 20 GOATS (Video).
The residents of Twifo Aboabo in the Twifo Atti-morkwa district of central region have battled their lives out with goats and sheep thieves who were transporting about 20 goats and sheep from Assin Awisam direction to Cape Coast through Twifo Praso.
According to the brave residents of Twifo Aboabo, they had a tip off from Twifo Kotokye around 4:00am today that a vehicle was speeding towards Twifo Aboabo so they suspected that they could be thieves.
The residents of Twifo Aboabo immediately blocked the road upon receiving the tip off. Sooner than later, the suspected vehicle arrived at a top speed, but the vehicle trumped over the barrier that the residents had mounted.
There was another military barrier at Twifo Anyinaase junction, this one too the thieves hit their vehicle into it as a result, one of the car tyre bursted.
The soldiers who were on the barrier at the time chased them with motto bikes.
In no too long distance, the soldiers met a Toyota vehicle that carried 20 goats and sheep parked on the road side.
The suspects had then taken to their heels.
Currently, the goats are in the possession of the Twifo Aboabo residents waiting for the legitimate owners to come for identification and collection.
