MARKET WOMEN IN TWIFO PRASO DISPLACED, VALUABLE PROPERTIES WORTH THOUSANDS OF GHANA CEDIS DESTROYED BY A DEVASTATING WINDSTORM
At least 90 market women who trade at “Old Praso market” in Twifo Praso in the Twifo Atti-morkwa district of central region have been displaced with valuable properties destroyed beyond recognition and repairs.
This was as a result of a downpour accompanied by a devastating windstorm which lasted for about an hour today Friday, 07/04/23 between the hours of 5:30pm and 6:00pm which has ripped off the entire storey building market.
mconline spoke with some of the dejected and desperate market women who have lost their stores and valuable goods. They lamented that, the contractor who put up the market actually did a shoddy work and it is the reason the market could not stand the strength of the windstorm.
They called on the authorities to urgently come to their aid.
