A “WICKED” DRIVER ALLEGEDLY RUNS OVER A 60 YEAR OLD MAN AND RUNS AWAY AT SAPONSO NO.1 ON TWIFO PRASO TO WASSA ATEIKU ROAD
An unknown driver is believed to have hit and run over a 60 years old man Mr. Isaac Kota Aziagbenu and run away after realizing that he has caused such a calamity.
The incident happened at Sapongso No.1 on the Twifo Praso to Wassa Ateiku road around 11pm last night.
According to the Unit Committee Chairman of Wassa Ateiku, Mr. Emmanuel Quashie, the matter was reported to him by a resident around the accident scene so immediately he and some residents of Sapongso No.1 rushed the victim to Ateiku Christian hospital for medical treatment.
However, the nurses at Ateiku Christian hospital called him around 6am this morning that unfortunately, Mr. Isaac Kota Aziagbenu the 60 years old man has passed away.
Mr. Emmanuel Quashie the Ateiku Unit Committee Chairman together with his assembly man, Hon Frank Annor there and then reported the matter at the Ateiku Police station while the body was deposited at Ateiku Christian morgue for preservation.

Mr. Emmanuel Quashie also appealed to the general public particularly those in the Akwatia in the Eastern region and its environ that if anyone knows the family of Isaac Kota Aziagbenu who has travelled to Wassa enclaves for the past 20 years to inform them about this matter so that the family can come to Wassa Ateiku for their body.
