The resistance of Nana Kwame Badu II is premised on the fact that, fifteen years ago, the deceased had an issue with him which he (the deceased) later apologized to the chief to ensure peace with the him.

After the chief had taken a huge compensation from the culprit, he still has some bitterness with him even as he is dead.
Speaking in an interview with Asona Abusuapanin Timothy Afreh, the family of the late Op. Yaw Owusu sought legal redress at Cape Coast Commercial court B where the court has finally ruled in favour of the corpse that his family can burry him and proceed with a final funeral rite. The ruling by the court has turned the entire Twifo Kayireku community into jubilation and celebration.
He therefore called on all the residents of Twifo Kayireku in diaspora to come back home to support the development of the town since peace has now prevailed.
