GOVERNMENT IS MAKING FRANTIC EFFORTS TO SECURE VACCINES-MOH

As part of its quality improvements strategies, the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital held its Annual Performance Review for 2022 at the GRNMA Hotel Cape Coast.

The theme for the 2022 Performance Review is “Enhancing efficiency & resilience of the system for effective service delivery.

Addressing the gathering as the Guest Speaker, and on behalf of the Health Minister, the Deputy Minister for Health (MP for Daboya) Honourable Mohammed Asei Seini reiterated that the theme for this year’s Performance Review “resonates with our clarion call for agencies of the Ministry to ensure quality spending of the scarce resources at their disposal given the economic challenges”.

Addressing the Chairman for the event Nana Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim VI who doubles as Board Chairman for Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, the Deputy Minister of Health stated that ” ensuring efficient use of the resources in the health sector is crucial to the attainment of many health outcomes we envisaged as a Country.

He further added that ” as a member of the UN, Ghana strives to achieve UHC aspiration of Health for all by 2030″.

On the part of Government, β€œthe Ministry is making frantic efforts to secure adequate stocks of Vaccines for the population despite the disruption in the global supply Chain.

Assuring the Nation, he added that “Government will continue to invest in maternal and child health to minimize the Risk of Mortalities from pregnancy and childhood diseases.

Concluding his address, he emphasized that “over the years, there have been Introduction of several measures by the health sector to improve on revenue mobilization including fiscal space and cutting down waste.”
