Twifo Praso Bridge falling apart.
This was the caption by Graphic Online on September 25, 2019 when Graphic visited Twifo Praso to inspect the state of the River Pra bridge.
Graphic reported that ” the Paramount Chief for the area Nana Kwesi Kenin, is outraged about the many empty promises by government after government to construct the bridge”.
The NDC promised and failed, Graphic Online stated.
“The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, himself, promised to ensure the bridge is constructed “, according to the Graphic Online publication.
“We are still waiting on that promise”, the paper stated on 25th September 2019.
mcOnline as part of its monitoring works, visited Twifo Praso and to inspect the state of the Bridge over River Pra .
The construction of a new bridge has already started, mcOnline can confirm.
Physical works on the bridge commenced July 1, 2020.
Contacting the District Chief Executive of Twifo Atti-Mokwa (Hon Agyemang-Nyantakyi) who exercises an oversight responsibility over the project, he confirmed to mcOnline that his constant interactions with the Contractor indicates that the bridge would be opened to the public (traffic) by ending of May , 2024.
