Inflation rate for June goes up marginally.

Food inflation recorded a rate higher than the national average with 54.2 percent while imported products increased by 43.8 percent.

Inflation rate has gone up marginally to 42.5 percent in June 2023, from the 42.2 percent recorded in the month of May 2023.

This was announced by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) on Wednesday, July 12.

The GSS said prices of vegetables such as tomatoes saw an increase in average prices.

Food inflation recorded a rate higher than the national average with 54.2 percent while imported products increased by 43.8 percent.
