SPENDYLOVE WINS FACE OF PUBLIC HEALTH NURSES SCHOOL (PHNS), KORLE- BU, 2023.

Face of PHNS, dubbed Miss Beauty, Brain, and Attitude, is a pageantry show which is organised annually by the Students Representative Council (SRC) as part of its week celebration.

This year’s show had five beautiful ladies who exhibited their intellect with several performances, presentations, and talent shows. Contestant number one used the stage name Maame Essel, number two was Candice Welbeck, number three was Gertrude Dorkenu, number four was Spendylove Nkuah, and Emmanuella Asamoah was contestant number seven.

The pageantry show was held on the 29th of June, 2023 at the School of Basic and Allied Health Sciences (SBAHS) Auditorium, Korle Bu. The show witnessed the display of amazing performances and presentations. There were presentations on neglected tropical diseases (lymphatic filariasis commonly known as elephantiasis, trypanosomiasis, rabies, and buruli ulcer) and child abuse.

The contestants were given the platform to showcase varying talents as well. The various contestants were assessed based on these coupled with accumulated online votes.

At the end of the event, Miss Spendylove Nkuah was crowned as the overall winner. She also won both Miss Eloquent and Influential. Miss Emmanuella became the first runner up and also won the best talent. Maame Essel was the second runner up and the most fashionable.

The 2023 edition of the BBA Pageant was hugely supported by Central and Greater Accra Regional Chairmen , Mr Alfred Addy and Mr Prince Opuni Frimpong respectively and gave contestants the needed push and confidence needed for the Pageant.

The Dean of Students, Mr Michael Narh did great work by co-ordinating and helping in the entire organisation of the Pageant.

All contestants were given amazing prizes and certificates for their participation in the contest.
