Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says the government has completed the digitization process to allow taxis to operate on an Uber like platform where customers can reach them on a tap and go basis at the comfort of their homes.

The Vice President who was speaking at the 46th session of the General Council meeting of the church of Pentecost says the move will help taxi drivers compete locally with other digital transport apps.
Meanwhile, chairman of the church of Pentecost Apostle Eric Nyamekye says the church is bent on economically empowering the youth to create visionary leaders.

At the 46th session of the General Council Meeting held at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa Fetteh, church leaders across the globe gathered to deliberate on the way forward for the church while highlighting on its achievements.

Chairman of the church of Pentecost Apostle Eric Nyamekye while addressing the gathering highlighted on the achievements of the church in the area of health, security,evangelism, support for the needy, infrastructure, education among others adding that the church which currently has the biggest number of congregant in Ghana will continue to empower the youth which is one of its driving force to create visionary leaders.

Vice President Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia who was speaking as the Special Guest of Honour, indicated that it is time the church holds political leader accountable for their utterances and ideas an caution them against politics of insult.

Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia again indicated that government has completed the digitization process where taxis will be allowed to operate an uber like platform where customers can reach them on a tap and go basis at the comfort of their homes.

He added that the project will be piloted within the Greater Accra Region and later extended to other parts of the country.
