We are not helping this discussion. We are feeding into the very narrative of these groups. They always want to be in the media space as the same creates awareness of their existence and what they stand for.

It is a needless discussion if you ask me. Parliament is clothed with the mandate to legislate on this and same is being done. Soon enough, the bill will become law and would regulate that space.

Let us face it, haven’t we had our presidents over the years taking hard stances on same-sex marriages but we cannot state with emphasis that gays and lesbians are not operating in Ghana.

It is not important for the President to speak on this topic again since he has already made an emphatic statement on it. We should wait for Parliament to finish its work on the bill.

Samne-sex marriage is something alien to our cultural norms and religious beliefs. We must just leave this matter alone and concentrate on bread-and-butter issues while Parliament is doing its work.
