The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association (GRNMA) through its district branch in the Nadowli/Kaleo area has donated an amount of Six Thousand Ghana cedis to a member as fire disaster support.

The member, Mr. Nicholas Papunaa unfortunately had his room razed down by fire on the 18th January 2023 while he was on duty in the hospital.

At the presentation of the cheque to the member, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Opoku-Amposah expressed gratitude to the President of the Association and the entire leadership of GRNMA for the very sound welfare policies they have in place for their members.

He noted specifically the Guest Houses built across the country and the associated welfare component for the benefit of members and commended the leadership for their foresight.

The DDNS of the hospital Madam Josephine A. Opoku on her side also appreciated the work of the district Executives whose hard work has brought this relief to members of the association in the district. She encouraged the beneficiary to be a worthy ambassador of the GRNMA and its course.

When he took his turn, the beneficiary Mr. Papunaah was short of words. He simply asked for God’s guidance and blessings for the leadership of the association for standing with him since the disaster occurred and extended his appreciation to the President in particular and her leadership in general for always being the mother that she is in times like this.
