GRNMA RECEIVES PRESIDENTIAL HONOUR FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO GHANA
The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association received the Presidential Award of Honour for Distinguished Service for its role in the fight against the Covid-19.
The Government, in a citation recognized the numerous trainings, workshops, webinars organized by the Association when the first case was detected in Ghana.
The Association, was noted to have also addressed and continue to address the myths associated with Covid19 and its management.
Strategies to encourage and to also serve as mental boosts were deployed to help Nurses and Midwives cope with the stress associated with the emergence of the pandemic.
The Association, led by its President Mrs. Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo collaborated with the Ghana Health Service to organise training on Vaccine Hesitancy among the general populace in Ghana.
The Association as part of its Social Responsibility to the State also released for free two of its Guest Houses in Ho in the Volta Region and Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana to serve as Quarantine Centres for the management of Covid -19.
The Association deservedly received the Honour for Distinguished Service.
