NAA KORYOO OKUNOR OPTIMISTIC OF BEATING HAWA KOOMSON AFTER VICTORY IN PRIMARIES.
Parliamentary aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Awutu Senya East Constituency Naa Koryoo Okunor says she is optimistic of beating incumbent MP for the area Mavis Hawa Koomson by 72 % if given the nod to lead the party again as the Parliamentary candidate elect come May 13, 2023.But that will not come easy as she has another female contender who is a grassroot person to contend with in the primaries.

Amidst wild cheers and chants, party faithfuls have accompanied their desired candidates to file their nominations as candidates for the upcoming primaries of the NDC here in the Central Region.
The ASEM constituency which has always been a place of interest in election affairs has seen three candidates filing their nominations on the second day of the exercise with two other persons expected to file on the last day.
The contest in Kasoa happens to be an interesting one to watch as the former parliamentary candidate in the 2020 elections Phylis Naa Koryoo Okunor is expected to battle a new female entrant Dina Tetteh, an Assemblywoman alongside three other male candidates.
Political watchers in the constituency believes the main contest will happen between the two females.
Showing up for the second time after coming more closer to victory in the party’s history, Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor prides herself as the tried and tested candidate with the highest capability of winning the Kasoa seat for the NDC.
She believes if given the nod to lead the party again , she will beat incumbent MP for the area Mavis Hawa Koomson by 72 %.

Dina Tetteh the other female aspirant is sure of winning the parliamentary primaries and subsequently win the Kasoa parliamentary seat.
She’s counting on her experience as an Assembly woman and she believes she has more strength in grassroots mobilization for the purpose of victory.
Meanwhile, the party says it expects candidates to exercise a clean and peaceful campaign with an expectation of a fulfilment of all modalities of the elections.
