TWO 14 YEAR OLD BOYS HUNG AND TIED IN A TREE, BATHED WITH COW FAECES AND FLOGGED WITH MOTTO CHAIN…

Unidentified group of people (mob) at Wassa Ateiku in the Wassa East district of western region have allegedly bathed two 14 year old boys with cow shit, hung and tied the children in a tree, flogged them with motto chain, canes and electric cables for allegedly stealing bluetooth player and other mobile phone accessories belonging to one Philip Bontugu, a mobile phone seller.

The mother of one of the victims, Sister Akos Florence explained the inhumane treatment by these heartless mob that, she was asleep around 3am last dawn when she overheard a mob noise in the town but she could not wake up to inquire the cause of the noise because it was too late.

When she woke up in the morning, she headed straight to the next room where her 14 year old son sleeps to awake him up but the room was empty.

Soon after, she was told that her 14 year old son together with another age mate boy were cought by Philip Bontugu the mobile phone seller last night when they were allegedly stealing his mobile phone accessories so they have been hung and tied in a tree at Philip’s residence where they were being tortured.

Low and behold, she run to the said residence only to meet her son and his friend who were stiffly tied and hung in a tree and being being beaten from all angles by the mob.

Esther Mensah is the elderly sister of one of the victims also made a passionate appeal to IGP, human right activists, child right institutions ministry of gender, children and social protection to intervene in this matter to seek justice for the victims.
