SKIN DISEASE BEFALLS TEACHERS AND LEARNERS AT TWIFO NTAFREWASO METHODIST PRIMARY SCHOOL.
CHIEFS AND PTA CALL FOR URGENT INTERVENTION
Twifo Ntafrewaso is a farming community in the Twifo Atti-morkwa district of central region. The only public school in the area that serves as a hub for education to all the children in the area is the Methodist Basic School.
Sadly, teaching and learning takes place in a 20-year old dilapidated wooden structure which has developed different species of dreadful insects and flies which distract teaching and learning.
According to Nana Attah Kwaku who is the spokesperson for the Twifo Ntafrewaso community and also the secretary to the chief of Twifo Ntafrewaso, of late, some strange skin rashes have befallen on the teachers in the school.
The teachers have been visiting various health facilities in the Twifo Atti-morkwa district to find out the cause and the treatment of the rashes but the report the teachers brought from the various health facilities they visited revealed that it is excessive heat and the insects bites in the classrooms that have caused their illness.
In view of this, the teachers of Twifo Ntafrewaso Methodist Basic School have threatened a mass transfer.
