New Gonja king enskinned.
The new Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Amonebafe Borenyi, has been enskinned.
The enskinment ceremony was held on Monday, March 20.
Until his elevation to the Yagbon Skin, Amonebafe Borenyi was the Tulwewura, one of the five divisional Gates to the Yagbon Skin.
The new King was announced by the acting Head of State of the Gonja Kingdom, Sonyowura Adamu Kanyiti I, after the death of Tuntumba Boresa I, who died at the Jakpa palace in the early hours of Sunday, February, 5 2023.
