As They Resort to Manufacturing Positions
When Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia promulgated the 10 appointments per constituency policy, they pooh-poohed it, saying he was only building castles in the air.
They said there was no chance in hell that such a policy could be implemented and that it lacked practicality.
When further and better particulars were provided, these same people insisted it was still not feasible.
Now, party members have begun embracing the proposal having come to the realization that this is more than feasible to do.
They have countered this new development with a position that departs from their earlier stance. They are saying that these positions are already in place so the Vice President is throwing dust into the eyes of delegates. This is what they are sharing;
1.MCE
2.NADMO
3.YEA
4Non formal education director
5.School feeding coordinator
6.Free SHS coordinator
7.Nabco director
8.planting for food coordinator
9.NYEIP DIRECTOR
- LEAP COORDINATOR”
First of all, the policy is to be implemented in constituencies and not Metropolises , Municipalities and Districts.
We have 261 districts, metropolises and municipalities in Ghana. We have 275 constituencies as we speak, so how does this list they have itemized give accurate representation of what Dr. Bawumia intends rolling out? They have goofed from the get-go with their point.
It is important to also emphasize that apart from MMDCE, YEA and NADMO, the other portfolios they have captured do not exist. From number 4 to the last one, there are no such positions.
It only means that they just sat in their homes and manufactured these positions. This is what happens when you cannot match Dr. Bawumia in generating practical ideas for implementation.
Let me repeat, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s ideated policy is workable. It is so easy to implement this looking at the fact that as President, he would have the opportunity to appoint about 7000 people to man the various sectors of the economy. The 10 appointments per constituency would not be more than 2750, so this is workable.
The Vice President is focused on his campaign. He has a lot to give Ghanaians including party members and that has been the focus. Let the others and their supporters also focus on their campaign and stop the attacks on Dr. Bawumia.
