P.K’S TOO COLD TO LOVE AGAIN SERIES

(Episode one)

“The child is not yours”

Daphne blurted it out. George was dumbstruck. Or was it a dream he was having and he assumed it to be real?

“What did you say?” George couldn’t believe what she had said.
“Is this a joke or what? If it is a joke, then it is extremely expensive, Daph! Be serious for once!”

“George, the baby is not yours. I am being honest with you as much as I am not happy telling you about this at this time” she repeated.

George was still in a state of denial. How could Daphne of all people tell him the 2-year old girl, Leticia, was not his child?

“Ah, but how is that possible Daphne? What did I do wrong? Why are you taking this child away from me, a child I have held and nurtured for two years? You are now saying she isn’t mine? Can you explain further, Daphne?” he asked, exasperated.

Daphne was saying something. She was probably giving him the much sought after explanation to the quagmiry situation he found himself in.

The problem was that, George couldn’t hear what she was saying. His mind was racing to distances far away from the present.

Numbness draped around his features. The world appeared to be spinning. Darkness was fast approaching him. His fragile heart was failing him.

His eyes forced themselves shut and he collapsed onto the grounds. The dizziness was too powerful to ward away. George had to give in to it.

Daphne called out his name several times and he wasn’t responding. She started shouting, calling for help to get George to the Holy Family Hospital, Techiman.

She placed a call to Samuel.
“Sammy, where are you? Please hurry up here because George has collapsed onto the floor. He collapsed after I had told him the truth about Leticia. Please, hurry up and come” she pleaded with Samuel.

George woke up from his slumber and realized he had been admitted into a hospital. The pains were still lurking around as he touched his forehead with his hand.
