Hearts of Oak left it late to secure all three points against bottom-placed Kotoku Royals on Sunday.

The Phobians were made to work hard for the win, with the game looking set to end in a draw until Caleb Amankwah’s late header secured the victory for the home side.

Bechem United returned to winning ways with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Karela United. The Hunters were on fire in the first half, scoring three goals through Hafiz Konkoni, Isaiah Nyarko and Abdul Karim. Karela managed to grab a consolation goal through Samuel Attah Kumi’s penalty, but it was not enough to prevent Bechem United from claiming all three points. With the win, Bechem United moved up to third place in the league table, while Karela remained in the relegation zone.

Real Tamale United and Berekum Chelsea played out a goalless draw in a tightly contested encounter, with both sides failing to find the back of the net. Meanwhile, Nsoatreman produced the standout performance of the weekend, smashing high-flying Accra Lions 3-0. Kwame Nana, Abu Ushau and Mark Agyekum were all on target for Nsoatreman in what was a dominant display.

Finally, Medeama continued their impressive recent form with a comfortable 2-0 win over Great Olympics. The home side took the lead through Tahiru Awudu’s first-half strike, before Benjamin Arthur doubled their advantage in the second half.
